Moondust

 Dress - Coast
Cardigan - Principles
Shoes - Schuh

There's something about about Coast dresses that I always love but never anywhere fancy enough to wear the beautiful occasion dresses, and normally more than I'm willing to pay for a dress I won't wear often. I came across this dress last summer it was originally £95 and I think it was on sale for about £28. A good bargain when you think about it. This dress originally had full length sleeves, unfortunately something that does not suit me but I was too in love with the way the dress fitted and moved to leave it behind. Off the sleeves came. I just love how the skirt swishes about, which you can probably tell by these photos. Despite how much I love it I don't wear it enough because the cut out give me a bit of a ridiculous cleavage that I can only get away with for a night out. I keep meaning to get some sheer fabric to put in the cutouts so that I can get away with taking it on daytime outing. The cardigan was one of those things that I picked up when looking for wedding outfit before I had a dress. Black and cropped I thought it was a safe bet and something that I could wear again.

Oh well, I used to be a dancer.

Dress - H! by Henry Holland
Cardigan - New Look

I wore this out to a night out but recreated what I wore a few days later as didn't have time to take photos before. I first found the top version of this dress. It had added cap sleeves and a collar, sadly the fit was odd due to where the sleeves finished. Said times. Then I found this dress in the sale some weeks later, I tried it on and it looked nice but I didn't think it was worth the £20 tag, when it isn't a dress you could get away with in daytime and it's short length, back it went on the rails. Another few weeks went by and I came across the dress again but it was now £12 I tried it back on and had was wearing tights this time and it looked much better although the lower price most likely swayed me on that one! I do wish it had the collar like the top did but you can't have everything.

Necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Bag & Ring - Accessorize
Shoes - Schuh

I was looking for a necklace to go with this dress one that wouldn't catch on the fine lace, a problem I've experienced before and nearly ruined a dress. It added a little sparkle to the dress and it doesn't seem to show up on the photos. It pains me to pay full price for jewellery these days, by luck this had 20% off. I need to find more excuses to wear these shoes. I've became a heel wimp as I hate to have sore feet and it makes me very grumpy when I do so if I know there will be a walk longer than five minutes then I'll opt for wearing flatter shoes.

Who else is a wimp when it comes to heels?

This Side Of Winter

 Dress - Red Herring
Cardigan - M&S
Bag + Necklace - Accessorize
Bracelets - Oasis + Topshop

This new year was a bit different for me this year as instead of our yearly tradition of gathering at a friend's house, who had opted to getaway with family instead, we ended up going out. I found it odd not watching the celebrations in Edinburgh on the TV but also that the club we were in didn't make a big deal about it turning midnight to surprise to even the staff so it went by in some confusion to whether it had just happened or not. I had ordered an Asos lace dress to wear but it just far too big for me, I sized up as my size was sold out. This was my planned back up outfit. The dress was bought to wear for my boyfriend's graduation last year. I love the cardigan and has been my first choice when picking an outfit since I bought it. I've found myself loving many  M&S products this season. I am really loving their jeggings, skinny fit but kinder to those with shapely thighs not to mention comfortable! This is not a sponsored post if you were wondering, they just seem to be getting it right at the moment.

Floral Headband - Crown and Glory
Shoes - Schuh

I have been after a Crown and Glory headband for a very long time, spending hours looking on the site. I could never justify buying one when I didn't have somewhere special to wear it but I found myself hunting for similar ones on the high street that where never exactly what I wanted. When a special 25% off code was released I had to order this one along with a glitter bow. I am very happy with it. The quality is amazing and I know that Sophie who makes them all put a lot of hard work into it. I thought it would satisfy my need for Crown and Glory but I fear it may have been fuel for an addiction as I have this one currently one the way to me. I ended up switching the heels for flats cause of the rain and the bag for a one I could fit an umbrella in. I'm glad I did when it started raining during the 25 minute wait for a taxi home.

Happy New Year! How did you see in the bells?

Merry Christmas!

Dress - New Look Inspire
Cardigan - F+F
Shoes - Rocket Dog via Schuh

Merry Christmas! I wore this to a trip to the pub with some friends on Christmas Eve Eve (I just have to say it that way!) for some Christmas drinks. I wanted to wear something nice as I feel like i have been living in my uniforms. I have posted about this dress before back in my first post. I love this dress as it can be dressed up or down so easily. I Wore the thick cardigan as i knew I would be cold outside with a thinner one as there was a very bitterly cold wind.

I have always had a thing for glittery shoes and I bought these back in January in the sales. They are comfy but seem to hurt my toes if I am walking down hills as My feet slide forward in them. I have a pair of glittery heeled brogues too. I know I am getting a pair of glittery boots and another pair of glittery brogues for Christmas. My glittery shoe collection is sure to grow quickly.

I am always jealous of bloggers who manage to find such good things in Primark, I never have such luck. My local store apparently gets sent the reject stock that doesn't sell in Manchester! When I'm in Glasgow the shop seems so disorganised and huge that it puts me off and I normally end up walking in one entrance and straight out the other one at the other side of the store. This pearl collar necklace caught my eye and I had to buy it at only £4. I have wanted one for so long but wasn't willing to pay £12 for a one.

I really liked my make-up so I am going to post this photo of my face. My eyeshadow is a Barry M glitter pot and it is really sheer with specks of glitter so it is a subtle sparkle but you can layer it up for a more intense look. My Lancome foudantion ran out and I had to really scrape the remainder out with a cotton bud but I am getting some more for Christmas :) I used Rimmel's gel eyeliner with my eco-tools slanted eyeliner brush and Lancome Hypnose Star mascara, which I got a free tester size with Tatler magazine afew months ago. My lipstick is the bloggersphere favourite Revlon's Cherries In The Snow.

Hope santa is good too and you all have a lovely Christmas :)

A graduation outfit

 Dress - Red Herring
Cardigan - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Schu

Last Friday, (November 30th), was my boyfriend Raymond's graduation and I thought I do a short post on what I wore seeing as I wrote a post about finding a new dress for it. I wasn't feeling a 100% hence the odd expressions in both photos but the last photo was the only near enough full length photo that was taken that I am. I forgot that the uni's colour was red and didn't wear the red to match, I wanted to wear my gold sparkly cardigan but with glittery shoes it felt abit too much for daytime and my red cardigan is warmer! There are more photos of him as it was a day to make him feel special. I am proud of him for sticking at uni :)

The dress was on offer and I got it for £28. I liked the gold studs on it but something wasn't right with it and after a while I decided to take the belt off and it looked so much better. The belt looks different in this photo, but in reality it is a very cheap belt and the gold colour made the dress look cheap even though it is priced at £38! The bottom half of the dress fitted nicely but the top half seemed too big and made it hang too low for me. My mum worked some magic and added acouple of stitches to stop gaping at the front and back as well as under the arms. I still decided to wear a top underneath cause it was cold and just to cover up abit more for daytime. Below is a stock photo of my shoes I wore, I forgot to take a photo of them on. I got them back in July in the Schuh sale with some money I got given for my graduation.

I probably won't be posting very often upto christmas anyway, as now I am working two jobs! One is in a shop and one as a followspot volunteer for the pantomime at the local theatre that is re-opening after being shut for nearly 5 years. Today has been my first day off for 7 days! Hope everyone managed to enjoy their weekend.

Heartsink.

Dress - New Look
Cardigan - F+F (old)
Shoes - Red or Dead @ Schuh (old)
Hair bow - Dorothy Perkins

These photos were taken at my boyfriend's flat which will probably become a frequent back drop for photos as it is a vast improvement on a brown kitchen door behind me. This is what I wore to meet some friends for a birthday lunch at a little cupcake Cafe in town the other week. It is my favourite place to eat, I will need to capture some good quality photos on my camera of the cupcakes. This cardigan I got for my birthday many years ago, (I think it might have been my 19th!) It is my favourite cardigan and will probably frequent outfit posts often. Also goes to show that supermarket clothes can last a long time! I love these brogues but they feel rather heavy on my feet (does anyone else get that?) and sometimes pinch my heel but with some heel saving tricks I have picked up they will stop being bad to my poor foot. This was also my first attempt at a bun using a bun doughnut, it is a bit too messy but then again it won't help that my hair is in dire need of a hair cut!

Today's post title is from Brighton band Blood Red Shoes - Heartsink. I do love the video as all the people in the video are fans of Blood Red Shoes, They told fans they could be in the video buy sending in photos of their unusual items given by former lovers that they wanted to wreck and it looks like it was a fun thing to do.
