Payday Wishlist

Why is it the month seems to last forever when you could really do with getting paid? I've been lusting after so many things this month and thought a visual wishlist would be better than a mental one because those tend to get very long very quickly.

1. Floral Top - M&S
If you don't often venture into M&S then it may surprise you that they aren't just good for basics and lingerie but dare I say it on trend items. I really loved this top and even had a 20% off voucher, sadly I couldn't justify it so close yet so far to payday on the rail it stayed. Let's hope another 20% off event happens soon.

2. Grey Fade Sunglasses - Oliver Bonas
My current sunglasses are black with white polka dots which would be nice to switch up for a coloured pair when I'm already wearing a lot of patterns and/or black. I want to get a pair without those plastic bits that sit on your nose (anyone know the technical term?), they seem make much more obvious sunglasses marks on my nose when I'm wearing make-up.

3. NYX Butter Gloss & Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick
I've been wanting to try NYX products for a long time. I had heard that Next stocked it when I was in Glasgow I looked for it in the Argyle Street store and couldn't find any. However on the NYX site it says was stocked in that store. Maybe it was in a hidden corner that I missed. If anyone knows for sure where stocks it let me know. I was excited about the Bourjois Velvets before release, I never took the plunge as I just was undecided on the colour. I have since decided on the shade Pink Pong after I saw Vivianna Does Make Up wearing it in a video. It'll be bought the day my pay comes in. It also happens to be on 3 for 2 in Superdrug which is a dangerous thing.

4. Denim Spotted Skater Dress - Doll & Frog
What can I say I like polka dots and skater dresses! It's much more summery than my curent white and black spotted combos. Come the colder months I think it will be easy to layer up with some knitwear and boots.

5.  Ocean Triangle Necklace - Oliver Bonas
I most definitely do not need another necklace and with a £18 price tag I probably won't be getting it as it pains me to pay that much for a casual necklace. It was the lilac and gold that caught my attention. I love the simple design and the long length. If it hits the sale then I'll probably be persuaded.

6. Cherry Print Sweetheart Dress - Dorothy Perkins
I've always loved those amazing 50's cherry print dresses with the insanely puffed out skirts, not something I can get away wearing often in my little town and I never get invited to fancy parties. This little dress from Dorothy Perkins has just the right amount of 50's style to make it unusual and perfect for those sunny days. This will be getting ordered as soon as another discount code is dropped in my inbox, probably along with the dress above too!

7. Tan Strappy Gladiator Sandals - River Island
Sandals seem to be either completely flat or too high, neither of which I find comfortable for walking any distance in even if its around the town. These sandals have the right kind of block heel that to me normal means comfort, and the same reason I often favour brogues. Basically they are pretty much the sandal version of a brogue.

Did any of these catch your eye?

A December Wishlist

1. I love the tartan trend that is about at the moment I have only got a shirt and a scarf at the moment but I would really love a dress. I have seen ones I like but nothing I have fell in love with. This dress from River Island changed that instantly, it the little cute collar that makes it different from others I've seen. As it has a high neckline I should really try it on in store but doesn't seem to be in stores near me yet.

2. I already have a pair of Dr Martens shoes and boots so I don't need any but this glittery red pair from Office are amazing. I don't think they will ever be mine at a painful £245. There is also a pair of black boots in a similar style and an even larger price tag of £290!

3. This wooden typewriter key necklace from Ladybird Likes has been on my list for a long time. I always like initial necklaces but find often that the ones with 'C' on them never look as nice as the other letters. This one changed my mind about that.

4. This beautiful snowflake necklace from Pandora caught my eye in a shop window and I think it looks so much better in person. I wish I hadn't already given my boyfriend my list of links for things to buy me gift list cause this would be on it. It goes without saying that it is part of the Christmas collection, if it's caught your eye too then best get it on your lists!

5. A black lace skater dress with sleeves is more difficult to find than you would think! The only reason that this New Look dress isn't mine is that is is almost completely sold out apart from a few sizes as they had a 25% off offer at the weekend. I haven't found it in a store yet but hopefully I will soon.

6. I first saw these on a sales assistant in Topshop and thought they were amazing. I am not sure if I would wear them much but if they go into sale I may need to give in. They are unusual with the holographic effect and would be just add something extra to an outfit.

7. I am in need of a new purse and in my search for one I came across this little canvas pouch from Alphabet Bags it would be good for keeping make up in instead of overloading the inbuilt pockets inside my bags.

Purples and Berrys

It is a rare occasion for me to have a special occasion that is rare enough to be an excuse to buy an nice new dress. I'm not saying I don't buy dresses without there being an occasion but normally I only buy things when hunting through those sale rails. It is nice to have an event to go to that means you can look for a dress with to wear to it. It is my boyfriend's graduation at the end of the month and seeing as I never got anything new to wear to mine ( would have been pointless being hidden under a big shapeless gown), I am using his as an excuse to buy something that's not in the sale rale. I am looking for something that is smart looking but not over the top.

I've had my eye on this Oasis dress since it first came into store. I just love the colour, it's a much stronger purple in real life, the silk collar and the lace. I know I would be able to wear it daytime or a night out too. The main reason it's not been snapped up is due to it's price tag of £55, which is more than I've ever paid for a dress and is quite out of my price range just now. Another reason it that Oasis do not seem to take into consideration us 'busty' ladies and their dresses fit nice everywhere else except across the chest, which often looks like the material is going to burst open. I might just have to try it on to make me stop wanting it!

This ASOS Dress I have also had my eye on for some time hoping it will be reduced, but seeing how popular it seems to be then I will be waiting a while. I've never actually bought a dress from ASOS but I've always read good things about them. This dress ticks all my boxes, lace, peter pan collar, and the colour. At £35, it still more than I normally pay for dresses but then again I don't normally pay much more than a £15 for dresses as I always get them on sale. This would be something that could be worn for day or night just by wearing different things with it.

I have seen different versions of sheer panel dresses but normally they have cut out at the side as well as the front which for me is just too much. I was having a browse on the Matalan site, which can have some really surprisingly nice things, which has previously made me want a dress so much I just had to have it at full price (it was only £16). I'm getting away from the point, you should have a look on their site or in store ever so often. I love the colour of this dress and the subtle gold studs on the shoulders. I would definitely wear a top under or get a cheap one to sew on as a modesty panel as with being 'busty' it would be far too much on show! I think that this dress is different from other dresses I have. At a reasonable £22 it wins in the most affordable category.

On a recent visit to Matalan I found this sparkly velvet version of the berry dress. It reminded me of a party dress I had when I was younger, the black velvet and gold sparkle, not the mesh panel! It does not seem to photograph very well and is more impressive in person. As I already know what shoes I want to wear to the graduation, they are black brogue heels and have multicoloured glitter panels so this velvet number would have been overboard on sparkle.

Which is your favourite? What dresses are on your wishlist?

Currently lusting..

1) Purple Peter Pan Ponte Dress - Matalan. 2) MARGE Black Leather Mary Janes - Topshop. 3) Black Heart Back Skater Dress - Dorothy Perkins. 4) Nails In Razzmatazz - Topshop. 5) Dark Red Twist Knit Heart Jumper - New Look.
(click on the image to get a bigger image or click the links to view items, still trying to get to grips with layouts and sizings)

This is a very small selection of things that I am currently lusting after, my list is always rather long. The heart theme is kind of by accident. I am a sucker for things with hearts on them. It is also very rare that I am lusting after things in Topshop that are not ridiculous prices and in my size.

1. I originally was after the black version with a cream collar but then I saw this purple one on the website and it is just perfect for me. Purple is my favourite colour and I do love peter pan collars. It is a very reasonable £14 but due to being a poor jobless graduate I will have to wait until it's in the sale or steal my mum's Matalan voucher!

2. I did love those t-bar shoes that a lot of bloggers seemed to have and did hope to spy some in the sale but I never saw any, probably sold out due to their popularity. These are also very cute and unlike many things in Topshop I would pay the £35 for these (if I had £35 that is) as they have a think sole and seem like they would last. I will just have to try them on in store.

3. The heart back dress has been about for awhile and there has been some beautiful ones around but they never went up to my size or cost a fortune to ship over from America on top of an already large price tag. For this style £36 is reasonable as I have seen much more being charged for them. I have got this bookmarked so I can keep checking for it going into the sale has DP often frequently update their sales.

4. This nail polish does not look very impressive in this photo, but it is dazzling in store and brighter purples and blues in the glitter. I might treat myself to this on my next day trip up to Glasgow as my local store is tiny and doesn't have a make up stand.I don't even have anything from the Topshop make-up range yet.

5. I am aware that jumpers with giant hearts are not a new thing. I was lusting after a Red Herring number last year but I think I tried it on and was very much underwhelmed. I love that it is a much more subtle design than other I have seen as the twisting between black and dark red doesn't make the black heart in your face. It would be a nice addition to both cream and black outfits.
